The Value of Process

Building Community through Supportive and Open Formats

The process of building this alliance will be as important as the partners who join.  Several members of the alliance are working together to create open forum community based formats through in person events as well as technology to help facilitate and empower each member to contribute fully to the success of the alliance.

These processes will help us build the alliance in many ways including more effectively creating and then leveraging technology tools to build the community 24/7.

The biggest impact will come when we bring people together in the various venues including Green IT Forums, holding large open community planning meetings for a multi-day summit to creating the committees that will seed and drive the alliance.

Go to our services page to learn more about these processes as we will continue to post information and links about the various processes and formats to help facilitate the success of the alliance.

The Green Technology Alliance Mission

The Green Technology Alliance mission is to build sustainable economies.  We believe the only way to accomplish this mission is to create an alliance that provides the support, resources and venues that build and grow both existing technologies and emerging technologies in the Green IT space.

So our mission in action is to accelerate the adoption of green, clean and sustainable business practices, technologies and solutions.
Simply put:  We strive to help build businesses that are green, sustainable and contribute to the economy here in Austin and beyond.

The specific purpose of the GTA is to accelerate the adoption of existing and emerging Green Technologies.  This two-fold approach will accomplish four interrelated goals:
1.       Showcase and develop the green technologies of today and tomorrow.
2.       Create the strategies required to deploy real solutions that deliver an immediate business benefit to the companies that invest in Green technologies; such as reduced costs, improved efficiency and greater productivity.
3.       Enable and accelerate the adoption of new technologies to create jobs and promote economic development in both the public and private sector.
4.       Develop a reproducible sustainable economies model (the STSE model) based on the principles of a true alliance that not only supports our economy and planet but sustains it.

This alliance will be built by many different stakeholders including;

Public and Private Sector Orgs  Public and Private Sector Organizations That Need Green Technologies
Public and Private Sector Orgs  Sponsoring Organizations With Technologies and/or Initiatives to Showcase
Public and Private Sector Orgs  Emerging Technologies That Have A Product They Need To Bring To Market
Public and Private Sector Orgs  Investor Community That Need or Want Green Companies To Invest In
Public and Private Sector Orgs  Government Entities and Our Representatives That Support Green Technologies
Public and Private Sector Orgs  University Systems With The Resources to Offer In Support of The Mission

Every stakeholder will also gain skills, resources and tools to help them understand the best practices relative to their mission that will help accelerate the adoption of Green Technologies.

The real power of the alliance will come from building the community around the Entrepreneur.  Entrepreneurs will be the driving force of this Alliance.  This article discusses why the Innovative Entrepreneur is so critical...
